On 24th and 25th October 2013 the 5th SASMA conference in Warsaw will take place. Andy Williams and Kursad Sak, partners of Temi Group/KS Consulting, will provide the audience with an “east” and “west” knowledge and experience of best practices for the theme “Restricting Anti-illicit trade by Environment Suppression”. The presentation will provide examples of how ‘Environment Suppression’ can be applied to both reduce AIT activity and also get the attention of the C-suite to invest more resource and results by controlling an environment rather than being mesmerized by the biggest fish in that environment.

Andy Williams, recently joined KS Consulting as Lead Consultant with focus on AIT and Brand Protection strategy based in Istanbul and a Senior Partner in Temi Group since 2011; previous experience within corporate sector as Head of Security for Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), – a UAE government entity engaged in master development of $40 billion project and years in the hospitality industry, principally with Marriott International as Regional Director Safety and Security for EMEA.

On the vocational front, served as a Regional Vice President for ASIS International; is a member of The Security Institute, The Royal Society for Promotion of Health, a CPP Certified Protection Professional, Advisory committee member of CSARN and a former member of the European Institute of Corporate Security Management.

Kursad Sak, Degree in Economics and Administrative Sciences Bogazici University and a PSP certified (Physical Security Professional) through ASIS International. 11 years’ experience in event industry management and commercial need and 9 years’ experience in Security consultancy, research and business development in Turkey.

Founded KS Consulting in Istanbul in 2010 and built a growing portfolio of multi-national companies specializing in Brand Protection/Anti – Illicit Trade within Turkey and Europe working with the likes of Toyota across Europe – Hewlett Packard, Nike and Pfizer in Turkey and surrounding region.

As an increasing economic centre SASMA allows you the opportunity to network with many Central and Eastern European security professionals.
